Robert M. Moran, Jr., 62, of Scranton, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 25th 2021, at Geisinger community Medical Center, Scranton.
Bob is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lori (Dominick) Moran.
Born in Scranton, October 21, 1958, son of the late Robert and Ann (Cannon) Moran, he graduated from Scranton Technical High School in 1977, and was a supervisor at Arlington Industries, in Taylor, PA, a job he loved. He was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman and he enjoyed spending time with his family at their cabin, Moran Camp, in Wellsboro, PA. Bob and Lori loved the outdoors and spent their honeymoon camping at the Thousand Islands, New York and Canada. Bob also enjoyed keeping in shape and had recently achieved his black belt in Judo. He will be remembered for his love of boating and fishing, his work ethic and sense of humor, and his homemade sauerkraut and pickles. Bob dearly loved his family and he will be truly missed.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Robert Moran, Bryan Moran and daughters, Kellie Caporizzo and husband, Matthew and Kara Moran. Brothers, Michael Moran, Joseph Moran and wife Eileen, and sisters, Mary Kay Murphy, Carol Naples and husband Robert. mother-in-law, Dolores Dominick Noll, brothers-in-law, Tim Dominick and wife Jodi, David Dominick and wife Elaine, William Dominick and wife Alexandra; and sister-in-law Lynne Kimpland and husband, Rev. Mark Kimpland, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Eileen Eiden, father-in-law, Charles Dominick and brother-in-law, Patrick Murphy.
A private service will be held in honor of Bob at Corey Brian Strauch Funeral Home 602 Birch Street, Scranton, PA 18505. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Nature Conservancy, Attn: Treasury, 4245 N. Fairfax Drive, Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203.
