Robert F. Kenyon, 71, a resident of Ransom Township, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025. Born in 1953, he was the son of the late George and Marjorie Sipple Kenyon. Bob was a graduate of West Scranton High School, Class of 1971.
Prior to retirement, Bob worked in the local printing industry. He later became the proud owner of Bob's Carpentry and Handyman Services. As “Bob the Builder”, his hard work, attention to detail, and talent as a craftsman earned the loyalty of many customers who became friends.
Bob most enjoyed traveling the area to attend festivals and concerts for the music he loved so much. A force of nature himself, Bob was also an avid nature lover who could often be found gardening, bird watching, or creating one-of-a-kind bird houses. He enjoyed hosting bonfires for friends and family and had a deep appreciation for Native American history.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl, a daughter Mauri Madrak and husband Scott; siblings Patricia Sylvester, Lorraine Coleman, Paul Kenyon and wife Joyce, and a sister-in-law Peggy Kenyon; grandchildren Joelle Eicke, Logan Madrak, Ava Madrak, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by daughters Renee' and Christine, a brother Ron, and brother-in-laws Jack Coleman and Ed Sylvester.
Visitation hours for family and friends will be held Friday, April 4 from 5-8 PM in Corey Brian Strauch Funeral Home, 602 Birch Street, Scranton, PA 18505.
The funeral service will be Saturday, April 5 at 11AM in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 1780 North Washington Ave, Scranton, Pa 18509.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd at the address above.
