Martha J. Bareihs
Martha J. Bareihs, 84, of Scranton died, Wednesday at the Dunmore Health Care Center where she was a resident.
Born in Scranton the daughter of the late Karl and Marta Geiger Bareihs, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. She worked as a seamstress with Gold Star Manufacturing. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Scranton.
Surviving are her sister in law Margrit Bareihs, Scranton; a niece Elke Marti, two nephews Dieter and Guenther Bareihs,
and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by two brothers Erich K. Bareihs and Frederick.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Dunmore Health Care Center and Celtic Hospice team for the care and compassion shown to Martha.
The funeral will be Monday at 10:30 am in the Corey Brian Strauch Services, LLC funeral home, 602 Birch Street, Scranton, PA 18505, to be officiated by Rev. Harrison Putnam, pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ. Private interment to follow in Abington Hills Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
