Marilyn Detrick Rozell of Taylor, formerly of Scranton, passed away Monday morning at Allied Hospice Center, Scranton. She was the widow of the late Richard B. “Dick” Rozell, who died Sept. 21, 2012. The couple was married 53 years.
Born in Factoryville, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Thelma Smith Detrick. She worked at the former Third National Bank and Trust and was a supervisor at Textiles Inc. She was a former member of Trinity Baptist Church and current member of United Baptist Church Taylor.
Marilyn enjoyed spending time gardening, reading, time with family, and relaxing with her husband and family at their getaway at Reflection Lake. She was a faithful servant of the Lord.
Surviving are two sons, David M. Rozell and wife, Gina, Somers Point, N.J.; and Richard S. Rozell and wife, Angela, Bloomsburg; a sister, Carol Davis; grandchildren, Cassandra, Alexa, Scott and Derrick; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Corey Brian Strauch Funeral Home, 602 Birch St., Scranton, PA 18505, with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Interment will be held Monday in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Anville, Pa.
A visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 6:45 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Allied Hospice Center, 511 Morgan Highway, Scranton, PA 18508.
