Peggy Kleckler Jennings of Pittston, 78, passed away after a brief stay at Saint Mary’s Villa in Elmhurst on June 17, 2022.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Peggy C. Valdivia, son-in-law, Ramon Valdivia, and her four grandchildren, Mario Saldutti, Elizabeth Saldutti, Timothy Saldutti, and Alyssa Valdivia. She will also be dearly missed by her ex-husband, Edward R. Jennings and wife, Dr. Patricia J. Jennings, brother-in-law, Deacon Paul Jennings and sisters’ in-law, Catherine Pinataro and husband Gerard, Ann McDonough, Mary Jennings and Charlene Kleckler as well as her cousins, nieces, nephews and dear life-long friends.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, Walter and Helen Kleckler of Scranton, PA and her brother, Ronald Kleckler of Miami, Fl.
Peggy graduated from Scranton Technical High School in 1962. She held positions at the International Correspondence School Deans’ office and the PA Department of Health, Cardiac Clinic, prior to starting her family. She also served as the Bridal Secretary for both the New Globe Store and Boscov’s, worked at WVIA, and held other positions in the banking industry.
Peggy was an avid flower gardener, winning awards for her floral designs. She was passionate about jewelry making and gem and mineral collecting. She served as a Past Presidents of the Mineralogical Society of NEPA and of the St. Catherine of Sienna’s Alter and Rosary Society.
Peggy was a wonderful mother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend and will be kept forever in our hearts.
