Jane (Donovan) Winkler, 71, died Monday morning in Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Taylor. She is the wife of Art “Bud” Winkler, Scranton. The couple was married 53 years.
Born in Scranton daughter of the late Michael and Alice Judge Donovan she was a graduate of Scranton Central High School. Jane loved the beach and the warmth of the sun. She enjoyed the casinos at Atlantic City, shopping, puzzles, playing Scrabble and the hunt for the perfect Waterford Christmas ornament.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter Kelly Linko and husband Joseph, Winter Haven Fl; two sons Scott Winkler, and wife Marie, Harmony, FL, Christian Winkler, Jermyn; a sister Mary Ellen Schreck and husband Robert, Miramar, FL; grandchildren, Justin Winkler, Renee Larocque, Rachel Winkler, Christian Winkler, Jr., and Samantha Linko.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Simone Larocque
The family would like to thank Dr. Barry Minora and the staff of the Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for providing compassionate care for the past 6 years.
