Hannah Arlene Owens
Hannah Arlene Owens, 94, of Clarks Summit, died Saturday August 13, 2016 in Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton.
Born in Kingston, daughter of the late David and Verna Morgan Jenkins she attended Scranton Technical High School. She worked for Woolworth’s and until her retirement worked in the textile industry. She was a member of the former Welsh Baptist Church in West Scranton.
Surviving are three daughters Janice Bloom, Summerfield, FL, Nancy Britton, West Chester, Susan Henningsen, Clarks Summit; a daughter in law Marion Bloom, Wallingford, CT; a sister Edna Jenkins, Scranton; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son Kenneth Bloom; five sisters, three brothers, a grandchild and a great grandchild.
Arrangements entrusted to Corey Brian Strauch Services, LLC, funeral home location 602 Birch Street, Scranton, PA 18505. Cremation took place at the Strauch Cremation Center and Crematory, Gouldsboro, PA. Private interment will be held in Abington Hills Cemetery.
