Elizabeth "Betty" S. Lamm

Elizabeth “Betty” S. Lamm, 100, a longtime resident of Dunmore, passed away Wednesday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Dickson City. She is the widow of the late Donald E. Lamm.

Born in Scranton the daughter of the late Gotthardt and Minnie Spreckler Sohns, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. Prior to her marriage she worked for Bell Telephone. She was a member of the Dunmore Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Lakeland Ladies Golf League.

Surviving are a daughter Donna L. Cooke, Winston Salem, NC; a son David Lamm and his wife Janice, Covington Twp.; grandchildren Jeffrey Lamm, Lindsay Cooke, Jonathan Lamm and four great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by a brother Herb Sohns, a step brother William Sohns and a granddaughter Meredith Lamm Ashton.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Mary's Villa Residence for the care given to Betty.

The funeral will be Saturday at 10:30am in the Dunmore Presbyterian Church, 137 Chestnut Street Dunmore, PA 18512, with the Rev. Rebecca Tanner. Interment to follow in Dunmore Cemetery. 

A visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30-10:30am in the church.
