Elizabeth “Beth” A. Santore, 34, a lifelong resident of Scranton died Tuesday in Regional Hospital of Scranton.
Born in Scranton the daughter of Jo Anne Gilgallon Santore and the late Eugene Santore she was a 2000 graduate of Scranton High School. Beth volunteered with the Special Olympics as a Global Messenger, an Athlete Leader Representative and as an athlete herself. She volunteered with Advocacy Alliance as an advocate and Speak Outs. Her volunteering continued at Regional Hospital, St. Joseph’s Center, ARC and Sunshine & Rainbows Daycare.
Beth always wanted to help others, never had an unkind word and had a contagious smile.
Surviving in addition to her mother are a brother Angelo “Bubba” Santore, Taylor; a maternal grandmother Anne Gilgallon; many aunts uncles cousins and her dog Val.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Lisa Santore.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday at 7pm in the Corey Brian Strauch Services, funeral home location , 602 Birch Street, Scranton, PA 18505, to be officiated by Father Ron McKinney. (do not change to Rev.)
The families will receive friends Saturday from 4-6:45pm in the funeral home.
