Dorothy Klassner

Dorothy Klassner, 96, a life long resident of Scranton, passed away Sunday evening at Sacred Heart Hospice Center, Dunmore. She is the widow of the late Kenneth P. Klassner who died June 1, 1981.

Born in Scranton she was the daughter of the late Roy and Minnie Hazen. Until her retirement she worked as a cashier with Scranton Fabric Center and was a member of the former St. Mary's of Assumption Church, Scranton.

Surviving are a daughter Doreen Clarkson and husband Daniel, Scranton; a son Philip G. Klassner and wife Kathy, Olyphant; a granddaughter Jill Klassner Ballman and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two grandsons P.J. And Jeff Klassner.

The funeral will be held Friday at 12 noon in the chapel at Fairview Memorial Park, 111 State Route 435, Elmhurst, PA 18411.
