David Joseph Pillinger, 69, a longtime resident of Dunmore, died Monday morning at home.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Joseph and Marguerite E. Strauch Pillinger, he was a graduate of Dunmore High School. For many years he worked in publishing for WW Norton, Dunmore. He enjoyed golf and loved his Airedales, Duchess and Dancer.
Surviving are cousins, Richard and Brian Strauch, Marilyn Balliet, Susan Roos and Virginia Grier; an aunt and uncle, Frederick and Dorothy Balliet; and close friends.
The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Corey Brian Strauch Services LLC Funeral Home, 602 Birch St., Scranton. Interment to follow in Abington hills Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made the Holy Family Residence, 2500 Adams Ave., Scranton, PA 18509.
