Daniel R. Mcgurrin

Daniel Robert McGurrin, 46, of Scranton, died Tuesday in Spring Brook Twp.

Born in Scranton son of Carol Scharf Triolo and the late Patrick A. McGurrin he was a 1988 graduate of Scranton Technical High School. He then attended Pennsylvania State University and various trade schools. Dan loved and would do anything for his family especially his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed skydiving, motorcycles, weight training, the Pittsburgh Steelers and was a dog lover.

Surviving in addition to his mother are four sisters Colleen Gavin-Weidow and husband Paul Weidow, Patricia McGurrin, Jennifer McGurrin-Genell and husband Jeff Genell, Crystal Triolo-Folk and husband Jeff Folk; two brothers Patrick McGurrin and wife Cynthia, Joseph Gavin and wife Crystal; Nieces: Mason McGurrin, Taylor Gavin, Olivia Marquez, Chevelle Folk; Nephews: Bailey Gavin, Ross Weidow, Dominick Weidow, Hudson Folk, Noah Religa, Anthony Religa, Nico Genell; and Step fathers: Len Triolo and Tom Gavin.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents Leona and Patrick McGurrin and Vera and Joseph Scharf.

A visitation will be held Monday from 6-8pm in the Corey Brian Strauch Services, LLC, funeral home location, 602 Birch Street, Scranton, PA 18505.
