Andrew C. Lantolf, a lifelong resident of Scranton, passed away at Geisinger Community Medical Center on Thursday, April 28.
He was the son of the late Paul and Grace Reina Lantolf, also of Scranton. He graduated from Scranton Central High School and earned an associate degree from Keystone Junior College. Andrew served in the United States Navy and saw combat during the Vietnam war. Following his military service, he worked for several years as a master electrician and then was employed for 30 years as an electronics technician in the artillery control division at the Tobyhanna Army Depot.
Andrew was an avid sport fisherman and took part in numerous competitions from the Great Lakes to Florida.
He is mourned by his family: brother, James Paul Lantolf and wife, Gabriela Lantolf, of State College, Pa.; niece, Allyson Lantolf Cofran and her husband, Chad Cofran, and their children, Jackson, Samson and Harrison, of Mullica Hill, N.J.; Jennifer Lantolf Dillon and her husband, Bruce Dillon, and their children, Henry and Charlie, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and Loretta Lynch Lantolf, of Newark, Del.
Visitation will be at the Corey Brian Strauch Funeral Home, 602 Birch St., Scranton, Wednesday, May 4, from noon to 2 p.m., with interment to follow at the Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
